I really don't have any idea what week it is, but I think its 6. Anyways... Hello family!! What a crazy week its been! But so good. So I basically had 2 p-days last week because on Thursday, Elder Fernandez woke up and was really sick. We stayed home all day and I took like 3 naps. A good day to catch up on some sleep. But he's feeling all better now which is good. Although, the day wasn't completely boring because some of the guys from my old district found out they had bedbugs so they spent the whole day cleaning and moving rooms and washing clothes. I had to go and switch all their laundry for them since they couldn't touch their clean clothes until they had showered. It was funny because they had to put literally everything in the hall and spray it all down with some stuff. Their stuff was blocking up the hall for a few hours before they were able to shower and move stuff into their new room. Made my day a little more entertaining. Luckily, I'm safe.
I don't even know where to start. Christmas in the MTC is awesome!! I loved it! It was a really nice break from the usual routine. They had a few programs for us to go to, including a devotional by Elder Nelson. So good!! Then later there was a talent show (my companion sang and played guitar. "Oh, Holy Night" one verse in Russian in the middle - sooo good!) Then there was a little presentation by Greg Olsen who apparently does a lot of art for the church. From what I saw it was good, but I may have fallen asleep a few times... haha. That night we watched "It's a Wonderful Life" which I loved. Such a good movie. Can't believe I've never seen it before. Christmas was good. I'll definitely never forget it.
My new district is so much fun. There are only 4 of us, plus someone from the other zone who just comes over during class time. He's pretty cool too. Really funny. This new district just clicked almost immediately which has been really good. We have a lot of fun together. We just got back from service at the temple which was pretty fun. It so weird to see everything when there are people in there doing like remodeling and construction. Cool to see though.

One awesome thing that we, as the advanced district get to do is, on Wednesday and Friday nights, go and work the referal center. We go there are take chats from people on Mormon.org and just answer their questions and stuff. Last week, someone asked me about the "rapture" which I had no idea what that was. Then later that night, someone said that they saw a bug that posessed their cat and their cat started floating in the air. They wanted to know what to do to make it stop. There is some weird stuff that people ask, but it's fun.
I can't really think of much else that happened this week. Just a lot of learning and teaching. I've been so grateful for being in the MTC over Christmas. It gave me a lot to kind of think about and I've learned a lot as a result. Just a few last things..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK DAD!! Hope you have a great day!
Logan: Have you started your papers yet? I hope so. I've been finding out about a lot of people getting called to Russia recently (Friends of people here)
I don't find out my travel plans until about a week and a half to 2 weeks before I leave so I don't really know anything about when we're leaving.
There are so really incredible prophecies about missionary work in Russia (a lot of them made by Elder Nelson). Look them up if you get the chance. I am convinced that Russia, in the next few years, will become the next Mexico or Brasil in terms of missionary work. I guess my mission president wants to double the amount of missionaries in St. Petes. I know of at least 3 girls in the last month who have been called there. Some of the prophecies, Elder Nelson said, would come about in his life time and I'm pretty sure he's like 88 or something like that so.. yeah.. Logan and Kyle and Brayden and Marie and who ever else.. start working on your Russian!
Just a random thought.. I know that we aren't supposed to have organized meetings with family per say, but I am always at the temple on wednesday mornings around 9.45 and Sunday afternoons we have temple walk where we just go hang out on the grounds and walk around, every week I am usually there between 3.15 and 4.15. Do what you will with that information. I'm not saying that we should meet since that's against the rules, but I'm sure if you were to be driving by or something around that time you could wave to me. I actually saw Collin's cousin Jace there I think like 2 weeks ago. He was just walking around with some of his friends. Thats just a part of my schedule I never mentioned before.
Hmmm.. I'm trying to think of anything else.. Thanks for the Christmas packages, I loved them! Oh and I got my Katzner!! thanks mom!
Interesting fact.. My mission is the furthest north mission in the church. There is a group of islands in the north pole that is part of the St Petes mission. As far as knowing of anyone that lives there, I don't know. Just an interesting fact.
I hope you all have a great week! Things are swell here in the MTC! Love you all!!
