The week was ok, but ended beautifully! First of all, we didn't end up going to the center last p-day cause we ran out of time, but maybe in the next week or 2?..
Tuesday we had district meeting which was awesome. On the bus on the way home some super drunk guy sat by me.. worst bus ride of my life! He kept talking to me about the same stuff over and over again and normally I don't have a problem with it when people want to talk to me - it's a welcome change haha, but he was so drunk and had another beer in his hands and I couldn't understand him very well as he was slurring his words. He kept shaking my hand in different ways - probably some gang hand shakes (he was wearing a do-rag) like every 3 minutes. He wanted to exchange phone numbers and find me on контакте - kind of Russia's version of facebook. He was so annoying! He kept trying to but his earbuds in my ears and have me listen to his music which was some really heavy metal stuff. Everytime a new song came on he'd try to get me to listen claiming that it was a "классная тема". Then after what seemed like forever he fell asleep and his beer slowly started to fall from his looseing grip (falling towards me of course). I didn't want to move away cause I didn't want to wake him up and have him start talking to me, but he woke up anyways just before he almost dropped it. It had spilled on his hand and of course he wanted to give me about 5 other hand shakes, but I kept refusing cause I didn't want beer on my hands! haha He wasn't really happy, but I didn't really care at that point. Then he got off. Longest bus ride of my life!
Our washing machine broke again.. for good this time we're pretty sure so we've been washing everything in the bathtub for the past week until we get a new one. They had us go look for some the other day, but I'm not really sure why since we won't be the one's buying it, nor do we know what to look for and we can't carry it home from the store. So not really sure why they had us do that, but whatever. Hopefully we'll get a new one this week.
Now lets talk about Church yesterday!!! So amazing! First of all, we had 21 people! That's the first miracle! Just after the sacrament started some woman and her 17 yr old daughter walked it and sat down. Afterwards, we went over to talk to them and see who they were, thinking they were people that one of the members had invited, but no. They were just walking by, saw the door open and decided to come in. The fact that the walked by and saw the door is a miracle itself because everyone that we've ever met with there says how they would have never found it if we hadn't been there to show them where it is and the members like to keep it closed for some reason... The other miracle was that our mission presidency 2nd counselor was there too with is kids. He lives in the city, but came down yesterday to speak. It was so good to have him there to help talk to this woman cause the members here like to just tell people everything about everything on their first visit. It just really overwhelmes them and kinda scares them away honestly. But, the counselor (I have no idea what his name is) was there and was able to keep things normal. The daughter loved YW and everything and we met with the mom and mission 2nd counselor during the 2nd hour to just talk to her a little bit more about the church and what not. It was so awesome. They both really loved it. We are going to call them this week and try to set up a meeting with them with one of the members. Such a miracle!!! What I wrote about it doesn't even do it justice. It was so perfect, everything about it. Just proves that there really are prepared people out there and if we are doing what we are supposed to, the Lord will send them to us. So awesome!
It only got better when we were able to spend some of the evening at the Ilin's house again. Such an awesome family! That was basically my week, with a couple other random meetings in there, but that was bascially it. I'm still just so excited about yesterday. It was so amazing.
I'm only a little bit frustrated because like I mentioned a few weeks ago, this is my companions last transfer (3 1/2 more weeks now) and he is getting so lazy! Really frustrating, but trying to do my best with it. The nice thing though is that he is very obedient.
Anyways - hoping for a great week this week and hope you all have one too!!
